We’re in the heat of summer, and I like a good, refreshing cocktail that can pack a punch without being overly sweet. Ergo, the perfect, pineapple-y twist to a traditional Moscow mule. It’s a solid combination of fruit, spice, mint and hand-crafted vodka, which makes for a versatile concoction to take you well in to early fall.
For this cocktail, I partnered with Green Hope Vodka, a non-GMO, organic, gluten-free booze made in small batches right here in sunny California. It’s crisp, clean and totally hits the spot when you’re craving something tall and strong. If I still haven’t sold ya, chew on this— Green Hope Vodka donates 1% of all sales to the California Certified Organic Farming Foundation. Sip, sip, hooray for companies that give back!
Now, without further ado, let’s get to mixing. Here’s what you’ll need for the perfect pineapple Moscow mule;
2 oz. Green Hope Vodka (or more, if you like ’em strong)
1 oz. fresh lime juice
2 oz. all-natural pineapple juice
3 oz. ginger beer
pineapples to garnish
First, muddle a couple leaves of mint in the bottom of your copper mug. Then, in your shaker, add a handful of ice, 2 ounces of your preferred vodka, 1 ounce of fresh lime juice, 2 ounces of all-natural pineapple juice and 3 ounces of ginger beer. Now, shake, shake, shake.
Strain your cocktail in to the copper mug with the muddled mint, top with some shaved ice and garnish with a wedge of pineapple.
Snap a pic, because not only is this cocktail bomb-dot-com, it’s totally Insta-worthy.
